Winter in iPhone Photos

I spent Christmas in Connecticut with Max’s family. Somehow I neglected to take any photos on Christmas Day other than the single shot of Max in his flannel pajamas (courtesy of my mom). For New Year’s Eve, we had a lowkey night at my apartment in Washington and ordered takeout from one of our favorite local spots, Duke’s Counter. Their burgers are fantastic, but my menu item of choice is the white truffle mac and cheese.

A little peek at how the sausage is made. I had a blast styling props and shooting photos for the 365 Days of Gratitude Challenge post.

It took me longer than usual to mentally shift to the new year, but once I finally did in February, I decided to make a vision board. The process of flipping through magazines, cutting, pasting, and collaging was soothing. And I’ve liked having a visual reminder of my priorities and goals. Can you tell a golden retriever puppy is high on my wish list for 2021?

I drove down to Florida before Valentine’s Day and got to visit Shark Valley in Everglades National Park during the dry season. It was an amazing experience. I couldn’t believe how many wild alligators we saw up close and personal!

My friend Chase sent me the cutest card and mug. The surprise package made my week!

In March, I ventured to Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables to catch the sunrise. It was stunning! Definitely worth the early wake-up call.
