5 Products I Can’t Live Without

Do you ever look back at your credit card statements and think, “I didn’t really need to buy that”? And then other times go, “I’m so glad I bought that!”? The items on today’s list fall into the latter category. They have stood the test of time and become the 5 products I can’t live without. In a different, non-COVID era, this list may look a little different. Perhaps slippers would be swapped out for a work tote. However, at this current moment, these are the products I reach for and rely on daily.

5 Products I Can’t Live Without

1. Tervis Tumbler

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m constantly drinking out of my Tervises. For those who are unfamiliar, Tervises are insulated tumblers that don’t sweat while keeping your cold drinks cold and your hot beverages hot. Why am I such a fan of a cup? On top of the fact that they don’t sweat and keep my drinks at the perfect temperature, Tervises are safe to put in the dishwasher, microwave, and freezer. They also come with a lifetime guarantee.

The company has licensing deals with over 50 brands, including Disney, MLB, and the NFL, so there’s a Tervis tumbler for everyone. You can also personalize the tumblers (perfect for a holiday gift!).

2. Day Designer Planner

Where are all my paper and pen people? If that’s you, you’ll appreciate the Day Designer Planner. It’s the tool that keeps my life organized. The planner has a page for each day of the year and includes both an hourly calendar and a to-do list, which I find to be the perfect setup for my workdays and personal life.

I wrote a full review of the Day Designer Planner, but can’t emphasize enough how this is a product I can’t live without. In fact, I felt entirely lost without it when I unexpectedly spent months in Florida at the onset of the pandemic.

3. LL Bean Slippers

LL Bean slippers are a staple in my life. With working remotely, I wear my LL Bean slippers— the Squam Lake Wicked Good Slippers —every day. They’re incredibly warm, which is essential for anyone who is constantly cold like I am. I also find them to be supportive enough for my flat feet.

4. Cotton Blanket

Do you know the feeling when just a sheet isn’t enough warmth but a comforter is too warm? The solution is a cotton blanket. I discovered the magic of cotton blankets in 2020. Since then, I’ve purchased several and have a Ralph Lauren 100% Cotton Blanket on each bed in my home.

5. White Noise Machine

If you’re a longtime reader, you know I frequently sing the praises of my white noise machine. It’s a light sleeper’s best friend because it blocks out environmental noises. My white machine has saved my sleep for the last 5 years, from my days living in a bustling sorority house to a city apartment in DC to my current home in Richmond. The Dohm Classic is my tried and true sound machine, but recently I’ve enjoyed using the Snooz, which has a Bluetooth control feature.
